So, I’m a bit tired of all the threads about things we’re “sick of seeing” and that we think are “overdone” and have been “beat to death”. (These are not actual quotes; I just enjoy the sense of authority it evokes.) Maybe we should focus on things that we wish we saw more often. For me I wish people would:
-Try different shapes: super skinny is not the only option out there, folks.
-Show dressy things: you aren’t in jeans everyday, are you?
-Experiment with texture: acid-wash, waffle-knit, hand-stitched

I second more pearls. I love them.
and more sequins, and I wish more people would do bright and daring make-up styles and blends, I’m getting really fed up of seeing smokey eyes and thick lines of black eyeliner across eyelids.

I agree on more color! I also want to see longer skirts done chic, more fur, more funky boots and more fringe.

I agree with splashofcolour I want more sequins and pearls. I’m in Summer now but I love leather gloves for Winter. Return to more classic cuts and lipstick!!

i like the more patterns & colours idea. i have a hard time figuring those things out on myself, but they’re gorgeous when properly put to use. :)

I put my money where my mouth is and grabbed some full but tapered trousers (cropped and cuffed). Ridiculously comfortable and fun to wear.

I haven’t been here long enough but I plan to post most of my evening wear type stuff. I put more effort into those looks than anything else. Plus I have this pretty awesome feather bolero I just made…Maybe I’ll wear it tomorrow? Only if the weather is right. Lately it’s been freezing.

More interesting/creative makeup – it seems like people often wear really unique and stylish clothing but don’t experiment nearly as much with makeup. I think it would be awesome if people started imitating some of the more out-there runway makeup looks, and not just clothing trends.
(and by the way, I’m a total hypocrite on this issue, but maybe I’ll follow my own advice sometime soon. We’ll see.)
